Big, Strong God

We have been wanting to post for about a week something so encouraging to us and could not let another day go by.  You have praying along with us for the support necessary to bring Luke and I over to Japan to serve.  Back in February we reached half of our support and we are so excited to share at having received 89% as of today!  That, in and of itself, is good news, but there is more to the story that is developing.  A significant part of our expenses is airfare so I recently left a voice message with an airline company to see if they would help us in any way.  This should not be seen as a chance or a whim, but rather as an opportunity to see a big God work in big ways.  I left a message explaining that I was a local pastor planning a missions trip with my son to Japan in the fall.  The very next day someone from the airlines called me back!  They asked about us and what we were trying to do.  They promised to follow-up and see about connecting us to the appropriate area.  As of today, they did follow-up with their promise and we reached out to ask some of our supporters to pray for favor to receive as much help as God wanted us to have.  So, we leave this in the hands of our big, strong God who we know is moved by prayer and we are encouraged to see His great work each day.  We will let you know what happens so stay tuned!
