Support Letter

Last Friday, Dad and I were able to sit down with Dave Ambrose, the head of outreach at Wintonbury. We talked about the support letter and some things to expect and look into as we plan and go on the trip. Neither I nor my dad has ever attempted a missions trip this big, so we are very thankful that Dave was able to help us out. Dad and I plan to begin writing the support letter very soon. There is a lot of money that we need to raise, but if God wants us to go then He will provide the money. God has been very gracious during the planning of the trip so far, everything has gone smoothly. We are always thankful for your prayers. Have a nice day the best day ever!

Need Your Prayers and Support

Luke and I have been praying about a plan to serve with the DeVerna family in Japan during the fall of 2014.  Biblical Ministries Worldwide is the mission agency.  In order to be sent, we will need to raise $4,000. We have already received the good news that we have our first $250 (6.25%) is in place!! We do trust that the Lord is leading us and that He will provide the means through your generous financial and prayer support.  Would you consider doing that today?

How does this work?  In order for you to receive a tax-deductible receipt for your contributions, just follow the steps below.
  1. Please do NOT send cash. Make your check or money order payable to:

    Biblical Ministries Worldwide

  2. On a separate sheet of paper, indicate:
  3. David and Luke Blough
    Amount of the check
    Account Number - 44191
  4. Mail the check and separate sheet to:
  5. Biblical Ministries Worldwide
    1595 Herrington Road
    Lawrenceville, GA 30043-5616
  6. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt and a self-addressed envelope within three weeks. The top part of the receipt is for your records. The bottom part is to be mailed back to Biblical Ministries Worldwide should you decide to send another gift to ensure that your gift is credited to the correct account.

  7. Carefully check your receipt to make sure your gift was applied to David and Luke Blough.

  8. If there is any problem, contact the BMW Finance Department at 770.339.3500 or by email to BMW.

  9. BMW will make sure that we receive the funds. They also provide us with a financial statement each month giving the names, addresses and contributions of each supporter.

  10. Thank you for your interest in missions and for your sacrifice for the cause of Christ. You are a vital part of the team!  God bless you!

The Forms Have Been Filled....Out

I just received confirmation that the last reference form had been sent to Biblical Ministries Worldwide today. This is wonderful news because it means that both my dad's and my applications have been completed and all of our reference forms have been sent it. So BMW has all the necessary forms and information about us on file. We plan to hear from the missions team soon to further discuss the trip and listen to any advice they have for us.

Making Progress

The past few days Luke and I have been on a great administrative kick!  Both of our applications have been submitted, most of our references have sent in their reference stuff, and we went to the post office today to submit Luke's passport paperwork and take his passport picture (surprisingly good technology...I should not be surprised, after all it is not a government entity).  This is his very first passport! Luke and I have never been on a missions trip of this kind.  It is a long trip. With less than a year away, the preparation we have been through and the anticipation of what is to come, is stirring us up.  Watching Luke work on mastering the language each day and reading God's word is motivating. So we are seeking right now and moving ahead because we believe this is what He wants us to do. One of the ways to confirm this is whether we will have the continued prayer support along with the financial support for the both of us.  We will continue to listen and keep you posted.

Passport and Applications

Passport and Applications

My dad and I just finished printing out my passport application. I don't know when we will go into the Post Office but hopefully it will be soon! We also sent in a short, 2 page letter to our Church's missions team telling them a little about us, the missionaries, and the trip. We are interested as to what advice they have for us. The Application that will go to Biblical Ministries Worldwide is still being filled out, but it will be completed soon. We are very excited for this wonderful opportunity that God is providing for us. But it isn't done yet, and we are still praying, because we don't know what God will do in our lives.
